Newhaven Historical Society
On a recent visit to Lewes we decided to visit a nearby Garden Centre which is co-located with a visitor attraction known as 'Paradise Park' and found the Newhaven Historical Society sharing a part of the building.
The society holds a varied collection of maritime and naval artefacts and has information regarding Newhaven and it's neighbourhood dating from prehistoric times. Of interest to most people reading this, would be the extensive collection of naval history memorabilia and model ships. Admission was a very modest £1 and there is enough there to warrant a couple of hours or so.
